Von 6. bis 9. Juli wird in der Zentralbibliothek (Garystr. 39) die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Sachverständigenprüfung der Brandmeldeanlage durchgeführt.
Die Prüfung umfasst unter anderem einen Test der Sirenen sowie der Brandfallsteuerung. Dabei kann es jeweils bis 11 Uhr zu akustischen Signalen sowie zur Abschaltung technischer Anlagen wie Aufzügen kommen.
Es handelt sich um eine geplante Sicherheitsprüfung und nicht um einen echten Brandalarm.
Zudem öffnen am Donnerstag, den 9.7., die Bereiche im 2. OG (Lesesäle, Labs, Coworking-Space) aufgrund einer internen Veranstaltung erst um 13:00 Uhr Auch die telefonische Auskunft (838-511 11) ist an diesem Tag erst später besetzt.

Temporary Restrictions at the Central Library
From July 6 through 7, the legally required expert inspection of the fire alarm system will be conducted at the Central Library (Garystr. 39).
The inspection includes, among other things, a test of the sirens and the fire control system. During the test, audible signals may be heard and technical systems, such as elevators, may be shut down until 11:00 AM.
This is a scheduled safety test, not a real fire alarm.
In addition, on Thursday, July 9, the areas on the 2nd floor (reading rooms, labs, coworking space) will not open until 1:00 p.m. due to an internal event. The information line (838-511 11) will also be staffed later than usual on that day.
