Mal ein Posting in eigener Sache \u2013 Der Verein Deutscher Bibliothekare e. V.<\/a> (VDB) ist mit Gr\u00fcndungsdatum 1900 die \u00e4lteste bibliothekarische Vereinigung in Deutschland. Dass diese Bezeichnung nun nicht gerade gender-neutral ist, hat man sp\u00e4testens im letzten Monat bemerkt. Aktuell gibt es Bestrebungen, den VDB in \u201eVerein Deutscher Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare\u201c umzubenennen.<\/p>\n

Politisch korrekt darf man sich zum j\u00e4hrlichen Informationsaustausch dann nat\u00fcrlich nicht mehr auf dem Bibliothekartag<\/a> treffen, sondern auf dem \u201eBibliothekstag\u201c. Begr\u00fcndet wird dies nicht nur mit der hohen Frauenquote in diesem Beruf von um die 80 Prozent, sondern auch dass eine Bibliothek nat\u00fcrlich nicht nur aus Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekaren besteht.
