Der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdb-online.org\/\">Verein Deutscher Bibliothekare e. V.<\/a> (VDB) sollte in \u201eVerein Deutscher Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare\u201c umbenannt werden. Begr\u00fcndet wurde dies u. a. mit der hohen Frauenquote in diesem Beruf von rund 80 Prozent.<\/p>\n<p>Heute kam es nun im Rahmen des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibliothekartag2012.de\/\">Bibliothekartages<\/a> [sic!] zu einer Mitgliederversammlung des VDB. Die gute Nachricht vorab \u2013 \u00fcber 60 Prozent der anwesenden Vereinsmitglieder stimmten f\u00fcr die geschlechtsneutrale Umbenennung. Die schlechte Nachricht \u2013 das satzungsgem\u00e4\u00df vorgeschriebene Quorum einer Dreiviertelmehrheit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdb-online.org\/wordpress\/2012\/05\/24\/vdb-behalt-seinen-namen\/\">konnte nicht erreicht werden<\/a>. Es bleibt also beim <em>Verein Deutscher Bibliothekare<\/em>. Ob damit auch der Versuch aufgegeben wird, den Bibliothekartag in \u201eBibliothekstag\u201c umzubenennen, bleibt ungewiss &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Wer es nicht zum Bibliothekartag nach Hamburg geschafft hat, kann u. a. \u00fcber den Hashtag <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/search\/%23bibtag12\">#bibtag12<\/a> die dortigen Diskussionen live via Twitter mitverfolgen. <a href=\"https:\/\/bibliothekarisch.de\/blog\/2012\/05\/23\/bibtag12-twitter-spam\/\">Bibliothekarisch.de<\/a> verweist auf zwei eigens erstellte Twitter-Listen (\u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/bibliothekarin\/bibliothekarisches\">Bibliothekarisches<\/a>\u201c und \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/bibliothekarin\/bibtag12\">Bibtag12<\/a>\u201c), um m\u00f6glichen Spam zu entgehen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anfang M\u00e4rz hatten wir vom Versuch berichtet, der \u00e4ltesten bibliothekarischen Vereinigung in Deutschland einen gender-neutralen Namen zu verschaffen.
