Die Philologische Bibliothek<\/a> tr\u00e4gt sicher keine Schuld am (wieder mal) schlechten Abschneiden des deutschen Beitrags beim Eurovision Song Contest 2009<\/a>. F\u00fcr wenige Sekunden blitzte der Prachtbau von Lord Norman Foster am Samstag im Spot vor dem deutschen Grand-Prix-Beitrag \u00fcber die Fernseher und gab sich ein prominentes Stelldichein mit Brandenburger Tor und Fernsehturm. <\/p>\n

Wir freuen uns nat\u00fcrlich dar\u00fcber, dass sich der Bibliotheksneubau mittlerweile zu einem der architektonischen Wahrzeichen Berlins gemausert hat, auch wenn das nicht wirklich \u00fcber die wenigen Punkte f\u00fcr das Duo Alex Swings Oscar Sings! <\/em>hinwegtr\u00f6sten mag.<\/p>\n

Da wir gerade beim Thema Musik sind: es gibt sie tats\u00e4chlich, Lieder, die sich den Menschen hinter dem Informationspult oder den Leihstellentresen verschrieben haben. Stellvertretend hierf\u00fcr sei Jonathan Rundmans Song „Librarian“ erw\u00e4hnt, den fabilouslibrarian bereits Ende M\u00e4rz bloggte<\/a>. Ob wir zur Abwechslung f\u00fcr diesen Song beim ESC einmal den Satz „Germany – 12 points“ zu h\u00f6ren bekommen w\u00fcrden, sei mal dahingestellt. Trotzdem m\u00f6chten wir die Strophen nicht vorenthalten (Song kann auf last.fm angeh\u00f6rt werden – auf Cover klicken<\/a>):<\/p>\n
