Dabei werden manche Bilder und Klischees dekonstruiert, manche Wahrnehmungen scheinen sich aber auch zu best\u00e4tigen (in Nordamerika sind ca. 82% der BibliothekarInnen weiblich, das Durchschnittsalter betr\u00e4gt ca. 45 Jahre, librarians love [printed?] books &#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>Zentrale Abschnitte des Buches besch\u00e4ftigen sich mit BibliothekarInnen im Film und in der Literatur. Auch die neueren Versuche zur Image-Korrektur (BibliothekarInnen als Action-Figur, &#8222;sexy librarian&#8220; u.a.) werden thematisiert. <\/p>\n<p>Ein kurzweiliger, spannender und informativer Titel, der im FU-Netz bequem als <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chandospublishingonline.com\/openurl.asp?genre=book&amp;isbn=978-1-84334-670-8\">E-Book<\/a> zug\u00e4nglich ist und nicht nur innerhalb der Zunft auf Interesse sto\u00dfen d\u00fcrfte.
