Mit Beginn der Akademischen Ferien kehrt an der Universit\u00e4t etwas Ruhe ein \u2013 und auch die Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek nutzt diese Zeit, um eine kurze Verschnaufpause einzulegen. Wie jedes Jahr sind die Zentralbibliothek<\/a>, die Fachbibliotheken<\/a> und das Universit\u00e4tsarchiv<\/a> rund um den Jahreswechsel geschlossen. Damit Sie Ihre Arbeits- und Lernphasen gut planen k\u00f6nnen, finden Sie hier alle wichtigen Informationen im \u00dcberblick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alle Standorte bleiben von Samstag, den 20. Dezember 2025, bis einschlie\u00dflich Sonntag, 4. Januar 2026, geschlossen.<\/mark><\/strong>

In dieser Zeit sind keine Ausleihen vor Ort m\u00f6glich, und auch die Arbeitspl\u00e4tze in den Leses\u00e4len stehen nicht zur Verf\u00fcgung. Die digitalen Angebote und E-Ressourcen k\u00f6nnen Sie selbstverst\u00e4ndlich wie gewohnt nutzen.
Wir empfehlen Ihnen, ben\u00f6tigte Literatur rechtzeitig vorher auszuleihen und gegebenenfalls l\u00e4ngere Ausleihfristen zu pr\u00fcfen.

F\u00fcr Medienr\u00fcckgaben stehen Ihnen w\u00e4hrend der Schlie\u00dfzeit die R\u00fcckgabek\u00e4sten am Haupteingang der Zentralbibliothek<\/a> (Garystr. 39) zur Verf\u00fcgung. Die R\u00fcckbuchung erfolgt zum n\u00e4chsten \u00d6ffnungstag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holiday Closing Times<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

As the academic break begins, campus life quiets down\u2014and the University Library also takes this period for a brief pause. As in previous years, the Central Library, the subject libraries, and the University Archives will be closed for several days around the turn of the year. To help you plan your study and work schedule, you will find all important information below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All locations will be closed from Saturday, December 20, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this period, borrowing items on-site will not be possible, and study spaces in the reading rooms will also be unavailable. However, you can continue to access all digital services and e-resources as usual.
We recommend borrowing any materials you may need in advance and checking whether extended loan periods apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During closing times, the book drops at the main entrance of the Central Library<\/a> (Garystr. 39) are open for returns. The items will be reversed on the next opening day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
