Auf der Website mit dem etwas aufmerksamkeitsheischenden Titel \u201eBookshelf Porn\u201d<\/a> sammelt der Werbefachmann Anthony Dever seit 2009 Bilder von B\u00fccherregalen aus aller Welt. \u201eOne day I was in a second-hand bookstore talking to its owner telling him that if I took a photo of his bookshelves it would be loved by people on the internet like porn for book lovers. He laughed at me, but I thought to myself why not start a blog that just had amazing bookshelf photos and call it Bookshelf Porn.\u201d, so Dever gegen\u00fcber newyorker.com<\/a> zum ungew\u00f6hnlichen Einfall und zur Namensgebung.<\/p>\n

Die Seite setzt auf den Mikroblogging-Dienst Tumblr auf, wo Nutzer wie bei Facebook auch die M\u00f6glichkeit haben besondere Bilder entsprechend zu \u201eliken\u201c bzw. weiterzuempfehlen. Einfach mal die Timeline herunterscrollen und sich \u00fcberraschen lassen (der Einfachheit halber die Bilder zum Vergr\u00f6\u00dfern besser in einem neuen Tab \u00f6ffnen). Es finden sich sowohl futuristisch anmutende Bibliotheken<\/a>, als auch traurig dreinblickende B\u00fccherregale<\/a>, die den ungebremsten Trend zum E-Book wohl schon erahnen.
