She offers private counseling and listens to the experiences of victims, particularly focusing on female and non-binary as well as international doctoral students. Wendy highlights the difficulty in distinguishing between harmless flirting and harassment, advising individuals to trust their feelings. She encourages victims unsure about seeking help to talk to a friend or contact her for support.

Wendy advocates for bystanders to intervene in harassment situations if they are able to. She also talks about developing a care and intervention plan to improve how harassment reports are managed at the university. This plan aims to handle cases effectively, ensure confidentiality, and take all reports seriously.

Wendy also elaborates on the „No Means No“ slogan, emphasizing the need for prevention strategies and moving toward a focus on consent. She shares upcoming events for the International Day Against Violence Against Women, including a workshop on microaggressions and a theater play addressing masculinity, encouraging widespread engagement to combat harassment and violence.

[see the full transcript of the episode here]

German:

In dieser Folge spricht Wendy Stollberg von der Freien Universität Berlin über ihre Arbeit zur Unterstützung von Personen, die von sexueller Belästigung, Diskriminierung und Gewalt betroffen sind.
