I’m familiar with Lery. He’s known primarily for his ethnographic (?!) descriptions of the Tupinamba and of mainland Caribs. I’ve been wanting to read through this just to note if he says anything about slaving by French, Dutch, or Portuguese sailors but haven’t had time. I do have a pdf of the 1611 edition if you want it.
