{"id":1182,"date":"2023-08-09T11:00:50","date_gmt":"2023-08-09T09:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/gruenstaeudl\/?p=1182"},"modified":"2024-09-21T20:25:40","modified_gmt":"2024-09-21T18:25:40","slug":"successful-habilitation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/gruenstaeudl\/2023\/08\/09\/successful-habilitation\/","title":{"rendered":"Successful Habilitation in 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The right and privilege to independently represent two disciplines in both research and teaching<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In February 2023, I successfully completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forschung-und-lehre.de\/karriere\/habilitationen-und-berufungen\/habilitationen-und-berufungen-april-2023-5508\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">my postdoctoral habilitation qualification<\/a> and was awarded the &#8220;<em>Lehrbefugnis<\/em>&#8221; (academic license to teach) in two academic disciplines: botany and bioinformatics.<\/p>\n<p>The certificate of habilitation confers upon the recipient the right and privilege to independently represent that discipline in both research and teaching in academia.<\/p>\n<p>Given this academic milestone, I bid farewell to the Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin and will now start my own research group!
