{"id":1720,"date":"2021-06-21T11:27:23","date_gmt":"2021-06-21T09:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/hci1-sose2021\/?p=1720"},"modified":"2021-06-22T16:26:55","modified_gmt":"2021-06-22T14:26:55","slug":"assignment-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/hci1-sose2021\/2021\/06\/21\/assignment-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Assignment #9 &#8211; Preparation of a summative evaluation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><strong>?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Deadline:<\/strong><\/strong> Tuesday, 6th July 12 PM (noon, two weeks)<br>\u00a0<strong>?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Goals:<\/strong><\/strong> Improve your prototype, by fixing usability issues found during heuristic evaluation and prepare for the last round of usability testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(1) Improve your high-fidelity prototype<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now there are two weeks left to improve your prototype, to fix found usability issues or implement new features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Choose the biggest problem found during the last heuristic evaluation and answer the following questions:<ul><li>Why is this the biggest problem for your users?<\/li><li>How will you solve it?<\/li><li>How do you expect the user will behave, after the problem is solved?<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Decide what usability issues you are going to fix in your prototype and what features you are going to implement next.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(2) Preparation for a summative evaluation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, 6th of July, we will conduct (online, sorry for that!) usability tests during the time of the lab\/exercise. There will be guests invited from the Human-centered Computing (HCC) research group, who will function as usability test participants. Please prepare for this test session accordingly. We will have three test sessions per group. A test session lasts about 35 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Please recall your experience and takeaways from your first testing session (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/hci1-sose2021\/2021\/05\/25\/assignment-6-paper-prototyping-and-usability-testing\/\">Assignment #6<\/a>):<br><em>What are things you would like to do differently this time?<\/em><\/li><li>Prepare all documents (script, consent form, &#8230;) you will need during the test session:<br><em>What documents do you need?<\/em><\/li><li>This time, you will measure the <strong>effectiveness<\/strong> using the <span class=\"has-inline-color has-bright-red-color\">task completion rate<\/span>. Please use the provided template (PDF, see below).<\/li><li>This time, you will also measure the <strong>satisfaction<\/strong> of users, by using a  <span class=\"has-inline-color has-bright-red-color\">post-task or post-test questionnaire<\/span>.
