It was originally used in manufacturing industry to create good training steps. CS-students might think of the result of HTA as a tree, where the nodes are sub-tasks which consist of <em>input conditions <\/em>(necessary to activate node) and <em>actions<\/em>, which both together achieve the <em>goal<\/em>, leading to a <em>feedback<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You might use four heuristic questions to fine-grain sub-tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>paired actions<\/em>: Are there additional actions which complete one action?<\/li><li>restructure: Can I merge two similar sub-tasks?<\/li><li><em>Balance<\/em>: Are all sub-tasks similarly abstract?<\/li><li><em>Generalize<\/em>: Can sub-task be rephrased to its repeatable?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sources<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>[1]&nbsp; Annett, J.
