{"id":179,"date":"2020-11-02T17:00:46","date_gmt":"2020-11-02T16:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/linguistics\/?p=179"},"modified":"2020-11-02T17:05:03","modified_gmt":"2020-11-02T16:05:03","slug":"some-important-information-from-todays-session","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.fu-berlin.de\/linguistics\/2020\/general\/179\/","title":{"rendered":"Some important information from today&#8217;s session"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol>\n<li>For the first few weeks, the <strong>lecture<\/strong> will <strong>take place<\/strong> directly in my Webex room \u2013 simply go to <a href=\"https:\/\/fu-berlin.webex.com\/meet\/anatol.stefanowitsch\">https:\/\/fu-berlin.webex.com\/meet\/anatol.stefanowitsch<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; please remember to turn off your microphone when you join the room, turn it on only when you want to speak.<\/li>\n<li>If you <strong>do not have a place<\/strong> in one of the seminars yet or if you have a place but <strong>want to switch<\/strong> to a different seminar, please fill out this form by Friday, 6th November: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/MARvV3AnAQuE6keG6\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/MARvV3AnAQuE6keG6<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Attendance is obligatory<\/strong> in the lecture and in the seminars. You can miss up to three classes without having to tell us or giving us a reason, but please make sure to ask someone you know about what was discussed during class.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>exam<\/strong> for this course will be delivered in the form of one so-called \u201ctransfer question\u201d per week, which will be posted on the <strong>Blackboard page<\/strong> of the lecture each Friday at 12:00 and must be answered before Monday 14:00. Each question will be graded and your final grade will be the average grade of all your answers, excluding your worst two grades. You may use any resources you want in answering the questions, but you must not discuss it with other students or copy other student&#8217;s results.<\/li>\n<li>If you have not been enrolled automatically on <strong>Blackboard<\/strong>, please go to \u201cCourse Search\u201d and search for \u201c<strong>Course ID contains PHILGEIST_V_17308_20W<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 when you have found the course, you can self-enroll. Please be patient, the Blackboard system is always slow at the beginning of a new semester.<\/li>\n<li>There will be <strong>WhatsApp groups<\/strong> for the individual seminars, where you can connect (your instructors and I will not be members, this is just for you).
