The focus is on &#8216;classic&#8217; mass media such as radio, television, magazines and newspapers, but also on ICT, video and (to a lesser extent) film and small alternative media.<br \/>\nWhat is the perspective of media anthropology? We start from the assumption that media now shape the social and cultural construction of (almost) all societies worldwide. However, this process is linked to the creation of distinctive modes and experiences of media appropriation, production &amp; reception, which are framed by local social and cultural forms, knowledge systems and power relations.
