Thus, both modules do not offer any payments or salaries.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h2>The research environment at the Institute of Pharmacy<\/h2>\n<p>To complete your Research Project and your Master Thesis, you can participate in the research of the working groups at the institute of Pharmacy. The following working groups are offering the possibility to host your research stay:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry<\/h3>\n<div class=\"editor-content hyphens\">\n<p>Pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry deals with the\u00a0<strong>discovery<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>development<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>synthesis,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>analytics<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>quality assurance<br \/>\n<\/strong>of biologically active compounds, the interpretation and analysis of the\u00a0<strong>mode of action<\/strong>\u00a0on molecular level and their\u00a0<strong>metabolism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>There are four research groups in this area:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/en\/pharmazie\/faecher\/pharmazeutische_chemie\/arbeitsgruppe_Rademann\/index.html\">Prof. Dr. J\u00f6rg Rademann<\/a>: Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/pharmazie\/faecher\/pharmazeutische_chemie\/parr\/index.html\">Prof. Dr. Maria Kristina Parr<\/a>: Pharmaceutical analytics and metabolism<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/en\/pharmazie\/faecher\/pharmazeutische_chemie\/wolber\/index.html\">Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wolber<\/a>: Medicinal chemistry and computer-aided drug design<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/pharmazie\/faecher\/pharmazeutische_chemie\/klinger\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prof. Dr. Daniel Klinger:<\/a>\u00a0Polymer and Colloidal Chemistry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Pharmaceutical Biology<\/h3>\n<p>Pharmaceutical Biology comprises besides the classical topic Pharmacognosy also new aspects of molecular biology and immunology. Research and academic training is focused on phytoherbal medicine, analytics, natural pharmacology and toxicology of drugs with biogenic origin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/pharmazie\/faecher\/pharmazeutische_biologie\/team\/professoren\/niedermeyer\/index.html\">Prof. Dr. Timo Niedermeyer: <\/a>Pharmaceutical Biology<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Clinical Pharmacy<\/h3>\n<p>Clinical Pharmacy is the science and application of evidence-based use of medicines in patients. Clinical Pharmacy, thus, extends in addition to pharmaceutical chemistry, biology, technology and pharmacology, the focus from a more isolated view of the drug to the individual patient or population using the drug.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/en\/pharmazie\/faecher\/klinische_pharmazie\/arbeitsgruppe_kloft\/forschung\/index.html\">Prof. Dr. Charlotte Kloft:<\/a>Clinical Pharmacy and Biochemistry<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Pharmaceutical Technology<\/h3>\n<p>The research of the Pharmaceutical Technology group focuses on innovative drug delivery systems with controlled drug release (peroral systems, biodegradable implants\/microparticles, microencapsulation, multiparticulate dosage forms).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.fu-berlin.de\/en\/pharmazie\/faecher\/pharmazeutische_technologie\/bodmeier\/index.html\">Prof. Dr. Roland Bodmeier:<\/a> Pharmaceutical Technology<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Pharmacology &amp; Toxicology<\/h3>\n<p>Research in the group of Pharmacology and Toxicology \u00a0involves the study of the effects of drugs and other chemical substances\u00a0on living\u00a0organisms and the practice of\u00a0diagnosing\u00a0and\u00a0treating\u00a0exposures to\u00a0toxins\u00a0and\u00a0toxicants.
