The last couple of weeks were mainly devoted to laboratory work: opening and sampling sediment cores, sample preparation, and various physical and chemical laboratory analyses. Material suitable for dating (i.e., luminescence dating and radiocarbon dating) was forwarded to the appropriate specialist laboratories.
