[1] The traces look like a Winkelhaken but might likewise belong to KI, DI or similar. Since the line does not begin with a usual introduction like DIŠ NA (…), KI.MIN, EN2, DU3.DU3.BI and so forth it is much likely that the respective entry in ms. A began at the end of col. iii. The following entry might belong to a incantation rubric which, in turn, points to the identification of this line as a possible incantation.
[2] The restoration of this line is highly incertain. BabMed Corpus BAM 493 reads instead x x ⌈ŠA3.MEŠ?⌉ […] which differs from the traces shown in Köcher’s copy. The CDLI-photo is actually less revealing.
[3] See also the parallels to this incantation in K. 10428 (BAM 5, 488) ii: 9′-10′ + K. 2354+ (BAM 5, 480) ii: 37-38 (both UGU 1:69‘); K 2509 (BAM 5, 489) Rs. 9′-11′.
[4] BabMed Corpus BAM 493 interprets the traces as me ⌈še-ra⌉ […] which is possible but uncertain due to the fragmentary state of this passage. Cf. also the parallel in the incantation-collection BAM 489 rev 14-16 which might also hint on the interpretation as me ⌈ku3?-ga?⌉ […].
[5] BabMed Corpus BAM 493 suggests ⌈KA?⌉.[INIM.MA …] but the traces on the CDLI-photo actually look like a sign beginning with a Winkelhaken like IGI, ḪUL, U3 etc. (see similar the copy of Köcher).
[6] The ascription of these lines of A5 is uncertain but the only way to integrate the fragment into the alignement of the other fragments of A in col. iv.
[7] The possible second sign might be DI (SA2?).
[8] Maybe itiAB? The following occurrences of month names are likewise not stringent with the course of the year.
[9] BabMed Corpus BAM 493 interprets differently ⌈EN2⌉ ⌈7?⌉-[šu2 …].
[10] See UGU 3:25‘ (a-ra tu-e a-ra ba-tu-e) or 28‘ (a-ra tu-e di-pa-ra).
[11] See similar also the ritual-prescription in UGU 3:31‘.
[12] It is uncertain whether one should restore DIŠ NA GEŠTU SAG.KI 150-šu2 (or similar which is somewhat unexpected since the ears are usually not mentioned as being “the ears of the temples”) or DIŠ NA IGI(pān?) SAG.KI “the front/surface of the temples”.
[13] Contra Babmed Corpus AMT 105/1 (which interprets the signs as UD 8.KAM2). The CDLI-photo shows definitely nine small wedges and traces of a Winkelhaken-like element in front of it which would likewise better fit the variant UD 9.KAM2, just skipping the Winkelhaken.
[14] An erroneous form for tu-še-ṣa-ʾ?
[15] This uncertain word might also be considered as a corrupt spelling of ŠUB-di? ina! saḫ-le9 GU7 similar to the end of the following entry reading ḫibṣa ina saḫlê ikkal.
[16] A surprising rubric (most likely referring to the content of roughly col. iv) which one would usually expect within the colophon.
[17] Contra BabMed Corpus AMT 105/1 (reading ⌈mat⌉-[qu]-⌈tu?⌉).
