October is the international month of „Research Data“ and „Open Access“ action weeks.
This year’s local Berlin “Research Data@BUA” action week from October 19 to 26, 2026 features a diverse range of workshops designed to help you expand your research data management (RDM) skills.
The highlight of the event is the “Research Data@BUA” on October 21, 2026. This event offers an opportunity to learn about the practical handling of research data through examples from research at the Berlin University Alliance. You can share experiences from various disciplines, learn from your peers, and take away concrete solutions for your own daily work. The focus is on practical experiences, best practices, and the question of how challenges in research data management can be tackled collaboratively.
Target group: researchers, doctoral researchers, and research support staff at the BUA.
More information on the Berlin „Research Data @ BUA action week“ can be found in this interview of Sibylle Söring with campus.leben.

What is Research Integrity?
Science and the humanities are founded on integrity. It is one of the key principles of good scientific practice and therefore of every piece of research.
Let us introduce you to the Coordination Office for Research Integrity
The Coordination Office for Research Integrity (KowIn) advises all members of Freie Universität on issues of good academic practice and supports both the central ombudspersons and the members of the investigative commission in their work.
