We have initiated contact to a member of the FIMO-Health App. We will have a shared meeting on Thursday with Tim Fellerhoff (Data&Research) where we will discuss the next steps and also presumably gain access to the premium version.
A short summary of the FIMO-Health App:
The FIMO Health App is supposed to be a comprehensive and user-friendly mobile application designed to assist individuals in managing and improving their overall health and well-being. It combines various features and functions to provide a holistic approach to health management. It aims to empower individuals to take charge of their health and make positive lifestyle changes. By offering personalized guidance, goal tracking, and a supportive community, the app helps users establish and maintain healthy habits, leading to improved overall well-being.
Their own guiding principle:
We want to help you better understand your disease and its symptoms. To do so, we use our app to measure and analyze various influencing factors. These analyses help you to proactively manage your symptoms in everyday life.
The app is especially promoted regarding the diseases Long Covid, ME/CFS (Myalgische Enzephalomyelitis/das Chronische Fatigue-Syndrom ist eine schwere neuroimmunologische Erkrankung), Multiple Sclerosis and Cancer.
The features and benefits of the app to reach the goal of better understanding the disease and its symptoms:
- Personalized Health Tracking: The App allows users to track their daily activities, such as steps taken, distance traveled, and calories burned. It also enables users to monitor their sleep patterns, heart rate, and other vital signs using compatible wearable devices. This personalized tracking helps individuals gain insights into their health and make informed decisions.
- Nutrition and Diet Management: The app provides users with a comprehensive food database, allowing them to track their nutritional intake. It offers personalized meal plans and suggestions based on individual preferences and dietary goals. Users can set calorie targets, monitor macronutrient intake, and receive recommendations to improve their diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
- Exercise and Workout Guidance: FIMO Health App offers a range of exercise routines and workout plans suitable for various fitness levels and goals. It provides instructional videos, step-by-step guidance, and progress tracking to help users effectively perform exercises. The app also offers personalized recommendations based on individual fitness levels and preferences.
- Health Goal Setting and Monitoring: Users can set specific health goals within the app, such as weight loss, stress reduction, or improving cardiovascular fitness. The app provides tools to track progress, offers reminders and motivational notifications, and celebrates achievements to keep users motivated and engaged in their health journey.
- Health Reminders and Medication Tracking: The app allows users to set reminders for medication intake, appointments, and important health-related tasks. It assists in managing medication schedules and provides timely reminders to ensure adherence to prescribed treatments and routines.
- Health Insights and Analytics: FIMO Health App analyzes the collected data and provides detailed insights into the user’s health trends and patterns. It generates reports and visualizations that help users understand their progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions for their well-being.
- Community and Social Features: The app fosters a supportive community by connecting users with similar health goals and interests. It offers forums, challenges, and the ability to share achievements, providing a sense of accountability, motivation, and support.
- Data Security and Privacy: FIMO Health App prioritizes the security and privacy of user data. It implements robust security measures to protect personal information and adheres to strict data protection standards.
As we don’t have access to the app yet, we were not fully able to reach the goals of week 4 regarding the interviews. However, we are confident that this project will soon start to really move forward, especially after the meeting with Tim Fellerhoff from the FIMO-App on Thursday (25th of May, 2023).
