Hi everyone!
I’m April, 21 y/o and from Berlin.
Following my Abitur, I completed a sports and fitness administrator apprenticeship. I am now starting my studies here at the FU in special education, English and German for elementary school.
My dad is American and my mom German. Even at an early age I was fascinated with being bilingual. Our vacations to the states was a special yearly treat for me.
Speaking native English has gotten me far while travelling and exploring the world, meeting new people and functioning in amazing situations.
As long as I can remember I’ve been roaming around circus tents and circus festivals while performing in a youth circus in Berlin-Schöneberg. Nowadays I instruct my own group (tightrope) in that circus. Teaching what you love is one of those things that people dream of.
The extension of that – to work with children -was how I chose my majors.
Enough about me – each of us here have interesting and often mind boggling histories to share. So please stay safe so I can hear all of them!
