The University Alliance for Sustainability combines the strengths of five strategic partner universities to develop joint research and teaching projects on the topic of sustainability. We offer exchange options for students, faculty members and administrative staff from across faculties and the universities to promote sustainability discourse throughout whole institutions.
The partner universities are:

- Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel
- Peking University, China
- St. Petersburg State University, Russia
- University of British Columbia, Canada
The Alliance is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Since 2015 the University Alliance for Sustainability has pursued its goals by offering th UAS Conferences and an extensive Mobility Program.
