Each year, Dahlem Research School (DRS) presents the DRS Award for Excellent Supervision to two professors at Freie Universität Berlin in recognition of their exceptional supervisory work. What makes this award unique is that doctoral researchers themselves nominate their supervisors. A panel consisting of doctoral candidates and staff members of Dahlem Research School evaluates the anonymized proposals and selects the awardees. The award includes a grant dedicated to the ongoing support of doctoral researchers. The distinct feature of this award is that it is based on nominations from the doctoral researchers.Find the call for nominations for the next award winners as well as the award winners of the past years here.
In interviews with the award winners we want to find out, what qualifies them for the award, what they do differently and if they have a secret recipe.
