The Masters of Biochemistry program at the Freie Universität Berlin involves multiple research projects allowing students to become familiar with academic research in different groups and fields. These projects can be carried out in one of the research groups across the vast Berlin research landscape but also in institutions across Germany or abroad. I had already completed one of these mandatory research projects in a group in Berlin and was excited to experience research abroad and especially in the USA with its world-renowned universities.

Die Organisation widmet sich der Sichtbarmachung alternativer und experimenteller Filme. Während meines Aufenthalts war ich in ein kleines, engagiertes Team eingebunden und hatte die Möglichkeit, aktiv an verschiedenen Projekten mitzuwirken.

Ich habe die letzten 6 Monate in Portugal gelebt und als Forschungsassistentin im Bereich Delfin und Walforschung gearbeitet.
I am thrilled to have such a wonderful opportunity to participate in a five-month Erasmus+ internship, working with a research group at the Department for Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmacy, University of Bern. As a doctoral student, I value learning from and collaborating with individuals from other research groups. My home group focuses on traditional computer-aided drug design (CADD), while the group I worked with during my internship focused more on advanced cheminformatics techniques.
